his promoter loses tons of money every time he fights. that was a great deal for ward no doubt about it but it wasn't a deal that made any business sense and isn't based on ability to generate revenue one bit.

And the promoter has a deal with HBO that guarantees profit. Kind of like Kova who doesn't bring fans
