Comments Thread For: Lucas Browne To Joseph Parker: Piss Off! Work Hard Like I Did!

Australian heavyweight sensation Lucas Browne has told rising New Zealand boxing star Joseph Parker to "piss off and work hard like I did".

Parker's handlers have long sought a fight with the rugged Australian and were quick to call him out after he beat WBA champ Ruslan Chagaev by TKO in Chechnya last weekend.

If Parker beats Takam he already has a better win than Browne does in my opinion.

I dont think Parker would be an unworthy challenger to an interim title (should he beat Takam)

That flat-footed chump Browne is so full of ****. He fought a string of bums in bogus eliminators before he got his shot. He's acting like he ran some kind of dangerous gauntlet! I mean Jesus, the guy he fought before Chagaev had 16 wins and 18 losses, Audley Harrison beat him about 15 years ago! Best opponent Lucas beat before the title shot was Rudenko, who is pretty ordinary, let's face it, a 21-year-old Hughie Fury dominated him also.

Chagaev was in PITIABLE shape for the fight with Browne. His gut was spilling over his waistband FFS, and Browne still nearly lost.

Parker gives Browne a beating, as do Joshua, Haye, Klitschko, Tyson Fury, Hughie Fury, Wilder and anyone else with some rudimentary skills and a decent punch. Expect Lucas to guard that paper title for as long as he can, or cash out against a top guy if the money's right.

Brown had one decent overseas win before fighting Chagaev, and those two combined make his record miles better than either of these other two buffoons. Parker wants to get a title shot without leaving New Zealand or having to fight any difficult opponents on the way? Well, he's going to have to wait to be called to fight overseas as an opponent with all the cards stacked against him. Browne is going to focus on cashing in, as he should.

More haters haha. Brownie has done the hard yards! Aussie boxing is back baby! Bring home more gold Lucas! Parker can do the hard yards and earn his shot!

Parker would annihilate Browne into the last century, back again, then into outer space. No contest at all. Seems kinda wild though, unfortunate for Charles Martin... even if he beats Joshua... he'll then have to take on the Parker/Takam winner. Talk about baptism by fire.

Parker should earn his shot. Fight someone like Pulev, Stiverne. Or challenge the Fury-Klitshko / Wilder-Povetkin loser. That would show if he's just overrated or really deserving of a shot.

Yep, Parker needs to learn his place.

I can't see why anyone would hate on Browne.

He went to Chechnya to win his title FFS.

The only way he was walking out of that stadium with a belt was by knocking out Chagaev - he did it in good style.

he may have limitations, but he is honest and deserves props IMO.

I can understand Browne's anger considering the risk he just took going to Chechnya to take on a man almost everyone was tipping to beat him while Parker has been playing it safe at home, but I really don't see why Parker has to "earn his place" to fight him if the money and demand is already there. It's not like Browne holds a meaningful belt, or is so much more accomplished than him. If the fight makes business sense, which it does, then it has every justification for happening.

Besides, Parker's facing Takam next and, assuming he beats him, he will have definitely earned his stripes to face any of the top ten, including Browne.
