this is the kind of Andre Ward Injury? where you fake an injury just to not fight?

Doubt this fight happens. Chavez can't even make 168 anyway, so WBC and Jacks camp shouldn't even have gotten into negotiations with him in the first place

Could have been a series of things to make them say this. He was likely going to fail the drug test as well. Dude is already paid and is fighting people he has never even heard of. Just take your stacks and get out before someone hurts you.

When your own dad is on tv saying you ain't ****, any type of media like this is going to shred your credibility.

Jr. has no Love for the Sport! plain and simple I mean for Sr. to come out and tell it like it is... says a lot in my book! sr. has never been the chisme kind but for him to issue statement in this manner is for real and I understand he just does not want his son to get beatings like the one fonfara handed out! saludos ala gente de Culiacan 15, 8, ala orden seÑores.

Lol! Chavez, JR probably figured if he came up with something never heard of, people would believe him.

Not sure what the **** is going on with this chap? He should have been told the fight was for burgers, not belts. Then he may have worked through the "sprain" and turned up when needed.

I feel sorry for his Dad, who was a warrior in his day.

But if you look back at Jr.'s response to his dad's criticism, Jr. does say he had to take a day off and leave Big Bear so he could get his heel checked.
