Let him talk ****. Barrera really has nothing to lose besides his "0". On the other hand, Ward has everything to lose. The p4p status, his over hyped and protected career, etc. Ward taking a loss will be undoing. Kovo will have no interest, GGG will be a second loss and all the wardroids will pout that their hero got his ass spanked. Let the GGG hate replies begin!!!!

Going to be hard to outpoint him so he's probably right. He has to find a way to continuously press Ward without getting smothered which is going to be very difficult. Hope he's ready to work like a madman for 12 rounds.

Golovkin is a hypejob who has ducked every possible challenge.

              Was..... that sufficient ?

BTW, the comment you made above.....
..... " Ward has everything to lose ".....
..... is not how a proven champion would evaluate this situation.

Ward has everything to gain by beating Barrera, and then Kovalev.

THAT, is how an outstanding champion thinks.

That is why he is willing to jump a division and fight Kovalev.

Having " everything to lose "..... is why Hypekin is not willing to negotiate with the lil red kid.

One of those guys is taking on a real challenge, and the other guy is not.

I know Barrera is just trying to seem confident that he is a legitimate threat to Ward going into their upcoming fight but either he is lying or he doesn't realize that previous opponents of Ward didn't go into the fight with him thinking they were going to respect his ability, Ward's ability made them respect him. Ward is the type of defensive, tactical, counter-punching boxer who loves when opponents come out with a lot of intensity and try to knock him out because that plays right into his strategy.
I really hope Barrera makes it somewhat competitive for a while but either he doesn't know what he's truly up against or he is just trying to sell tickets because most people are of the mindset that this is a warm-up, stay busy (by Ward's standards) fight for Ward. I tend to think it is more likely to be the latter.
