It's an interesting fight. Trout hasn't actually made the 154 limit since 2014. His last 3 fights he's come in over 154 so the initial thoughts about the weight disadvantage are somewhat dispelled since technically Trout has fought as a middleweight in his last 3 fights, instead of a light-middle.
