    Rooting For McGregor

alright time to step up and be honest.

Who was backing him and wanted him to win?

Floyd is my favorite boxer but I was rooting for McGregor last night.

He has the charisma necessary to pull off the arrogant rich guy persona in combat sports trademarked by Floyd.

After last night idk if he has the skills required to successfully pull it off over a sustained period of time.

He most definitely has the ego and gift of the gab.

Who cares? He got paid a record purse of 1 million dollars last night.

Got wrecked by someone equivalent to a Carlos Molina in boxing. Imagine an elite WW in boxing losing to Carlos Molina.

McGregor's fight was more like Floyd moving up to fight Canelo at 154 only for Canelo to hurt himself one week before the bout, and so Floyd decides to say he'll fight anyone and he ends up fighting and losing to Lara at 160 (so that Lara can make weight).

I'm no MMA expert... but it looked like he just straight up GAVE Diaz his neck and chin. Like I said, I'm no MMA expert... but watching that tells me he won't be an ATG.

I'm a fan and I'm still a fan, nothing changes because of defeat he will bounce back. But he had some crazy fans who thought he was invincible so it is kinda funny to see them get put in their place

Nah, Diaz was just too skilful for him and got him in the position he wanted when on the ground. McGregor was about to get KO'd standing up, so tried to go to ground out of desperation to see what he could do there and got stopped anyway.

I like Nate so it didn't bother me who won. McGregor was something like a 3/1 favourite though and it's always fun to see an upset.

I understand that. I was saying he got caught in that rear naked choke very easily, so his defense looks like it needs lots of work before he becomes "legendary".
