Incompetence or Corruption?

Oh wow
That's clearly incompetence. Even the worst bought judges know how to score a knockdown. Theres literally no justification for not scoring it 10-8. unless the other guy came back and battered the other pillar to post (where a standing 8 count was necessary).
He's probably a member of this forum, the same ones who say 'oh but he won the rest of the round, so its 10-9'. How do you win a round if you were knocked down, without the scenario above? -

Yeah, maybe he went for a break somewhere as the fight was so boring, came back and made the scores up. I know Thompson is from DC and all, but he's no massive star.
You should see scoring for some small-scale domestic bouts (hell, even the amateurs), especially here in the UK. The referee scores it most of the time, and they just plain forget half the things they see.Comment

His card should be scrutinized even though the fight ended in a stoppage. It's time for these judges to be held accountable even when the outcome of the fight isn't effected.Comment

Ortiz won by TKO so he will be ignored until the next time he scores a bout and gets it totally wrong again causing a fighter to be robbed. He should be suspended and sent back to training for this card. I hope he isn't doing the Broner-Theopane card.Yeah, maybe he went for a break somewhere as the fight was so boring, came back and made the scores up. Usually I'd apply Hanlon's razor to these types of situations but this is boxing. Corruption is always more likely than incompetence.Comment
