What's so entertaining about him? he plods forward, throws a one-two, plods forward again, stands off and then smiled. Rinse and repeat.

The only reason you think he is good to watch is because HBO is telling you he is. There's nothing dynamic about him, his punches aren't smooth and his power is overrated, he is way too slow on his feet and can't gauge distance as well as I thought he would.

I like his attitude though and he seems to enjoy the fight, so that's a massive plus.

I dont know where the hbo comment comes from.

I like a fighter who can win with the basics.
Basic one two. He is southpaw unlike most the top heavyweights right now. He isnt afraid to mix it it up.

Ill take basics over all that flash in a pan.

Well.. Thompson didnt give him anything to work with. If you are not a pressure fighter who knows how to avoid clinches, it's pretty difficult to look good against someone who just wants to survive.

He showed more versatility against jennings, he timed him well and I think he dropped jennings with an uppercut coming in. So he is more than just the basic 1-2.

I'm starting to like this guy. Power, excellent speed, ring IQ.

Hopefully, he'll end being what Odlanier Solis should've been.

I didn't like the fact that everytime he dropped Thompson, it was from a punch to the back of the head and the ref nor HBO cast said one thing about it.

Besides that, I think he has the potential to beat all the other heavyweights.

First off I agree with the other poster about staying busy.

Now thompson turned his head away and he would lean. Thats his fault. Comes with the territory.

Yeah, at least two of the knockdown blows came from what (I thought) were punches to the side of the head. But Tony turned and leaned on each occasion, so I don't blame Ortiz.
