Freddie Roach does not care about his fighters. Sad but true

Freddie the joke coach Roach, sadly suffers from Parkinson's disease, and may the lord almighty make it easier for him.

    1. However, it is evident in the manner that Freddie trains his fighters, for example Amir Khan being put through gym wars a week before the Garcia fight, and then when he was knocked down and got back up, no mention of Roach telling him to take a knee. Where were the instructions in the corner,at the end of the 2nd round telling Khan to not exchange this round, and recoup. Look at the fight highlights, Freddie doesn't tell him anything of the sort.

    2. Doesn't teach his fighters much defence, and is more worried about fighters boxing in an exciting style. Does he not care that fighters could end up getting Parkinsons like he himself has, or does the fact that he has Parkinsons make him less sympathetic about fighters ending up like him. His overtly aggressive tactics, resulted in Pacquiao being knocked unconscious for an entire minute!

Then what does he care about?

He lived in the closet of his boxing gym until a few years ago. He was a multimillionaire living in some sweaty closet working out with kids all day.

I think you have it backwards. He doesn't care about anything else but boxing even though it destroyed him.

          good post
He even said that his own boxers were the kids he never had
Freddie believes in good footwork and a "good offense is a fighters defence" philosophy and thus far in his career as a trainer hes been very successful.
Khan chose to spar like that, he didnt need to stand toe to toe. He just wanted a tear up. Dont blame Freddie, blame the fighter

            Himself.

He wants his fighter to win. That's all. At all costs.

When his fighter doesn't do things the way he thinks they should be done, he stabs them in the back. Which is why he flip-flops on Manny now that Manny's lost.

I guarantee you, if Manny gets schooled by Tim Bradley, Freddie Roach will throw Pac under the bus again.

He clearly tells Amir to tie up in-between rounds after the first KD.

Pretty amazing Amir stood up to Garcia's power, there's a point where Khan just shells up at center ring trying to impose himself and you can just see Garcia loading up with all his power like he's wailing on a heavybag.

Roach is an over hype coach who lived off Pacquios success. I can teach someone better skills than Joke Roach

This is such an idiotic thread. If roach didn't gave a single care about his fighters then he should've let pascal get mauled until the final bell by kovalev.

Roach was a decent trainer limited enough but suited some fighters he has got carried away with himself in recent years and has become a bit of a prick and at times a lousy trainer
