    Pay Check Fight

Tony Thompson was their just for a pay check. He didn't even try to make it a fight. He was their for target practice. Damn Shame. Note to all fighters when you call out other fighters and talk mad S--T please do us fans a favor and try to back it up.

Ortiz wasnt tested at all. I know this was a stay busy fight at least to keep him sharp. Hopefully next is a Top 10 Heavyweight next. He showed a little vulnerability.

Overall it was a decent night of fights on HBO but nothing impressive.

Meaningless fight but it's good to see Ortiz active. Best talent in the division, IMO. No one is going to get near him.

Ortiz looked a tad out of shape that big ass standing jump not withstanding. Maybe he didn't take Thompson all that serious.

He took care of business when he wanted to nonetheless it looked like if he had stepped on the gas on round one he could have taken him out of there, but he is very composed and methodical sometimes maybe too composed and methodical his corner had to tell him to get it over with.

Funny because that same corner told him to take it easy, before. I guess he is good following orders.

Watching these two makes me appreciate the Klitschkos. At least they always showed up in shape. These guys looked terrible. Thompson in particular. HW's should at least be somewhat in shape.

Ortiz will beat Wilder, Fury, *****ko, unexperienced Joshua and definitely that bum Parker. Wilder beats all but Ortiz.

Tony Thompson was a disgrace tonight. It was obvious that he was there only for a payday. He really wasn't trying to hit Ortiz with any power shots. It was like pitty pat shots with absolutely no power. Maybe he was just trying not to piss Ortiz off so he could last a few rounds. Anyway, he should take his paycheck and retire from boxing
