    GGG's and Canelo's age before...

So, GGG is 33 years old, Canelo - 25, which means with every passing year Canelo is getting closer to his physical prime, while GGG is getting further.
How old they should get before you would consider Canelo a favorite to win?

I don't see anything that confirms to me that Golovkin should be a favorite at all, even now. I'm a fan of the two but it's insane when you consider the fact that Golovkin hasn't face anything close to the skill level of Canelo. That's my answer.

I think Canelo is at his physical prime right now, as is GGG...with the way modern sports works, especially modern day boxing (light schedule, better teams involved in nutrition and training etc) I expect GGG to maintain this level of performance for another 2-3 years...so it will probably be 4-5 years before Canelo is at the level to beat GGG.

May/Pac style match up set for 2021, book it folks! Fight of the century.

Canelo doesn't have to tools to beat golovkin. His feet are too flat,he doesn't have enough power in his punches, and hes never taken a punch from someone like golovkin.

If I was fighting GGG I'd take the money and do a Sonny Liston get dropped by a phantom punch than take a vacation and rebuild myself without really taking Punishment. Why get turned into a Fernando Vargas at age 25 ?

Little G turns 34 in a month and Ca$hnelo turns 26 in July and they would most likely fight in September so that would be their "now" ages.

I think they'll fight between 6 and 12 months after this September when Little G is 35 and Ca$hnelo is 27. And Canelo is going to massacre Little G, . The world will then forget Little G ever existed.

Primes are different for every fighter. Usually it's 27, but some fighters are more special and have a younger and longer prime. I believe Canelo has been prime for a couple of years now. The way he handled veterans like #4 ranked JMW (The Ring) Ryan Rhodes when he was 20 years old, and #10 ranked JMW, showed me all I had to see from Canelo. The way he then looked against Trout, which I still don't see how blind fans saw that for Trout, showed me this guy was well beyond his years.

In 2 years, Canelo will have grown into 160, gotten experience and develop his skills enough. Canelo could beat GGG now if he improves 1 of 2 things. His footwork and conditioning. He has to be able to bend his knees, get low, push GGG back with his strength and unload his combinations to the body and come up top with his uppercuts. He can't do that in spurts and then rest of the ropes. He'll get decimated there.

If he greatly improves his footwork though, he can fight in spurts and then avoid the ropes while he resets. I'd like for him to improve both though preferably.
