Why don't Mexican boxers help their people like Pacquiao?

One Phillipino boxer is taking an active part in politics to help his country and uses his public profile to support causes.

With all the amount of boxers that come out of Mexico I'm yet to hear about one of them returning back home and using their amassed wealth to help their starving countrymen out.

    Thanks.

I'm not really aware of what Pacquiao has done for the philipines as a politician, I know that he's a great role model and that he donates to good causes there but I don't know what he did as a politician or public servant.

All rich fighters do the same things as far as being role models, motivational speakers and donating to good causes but they don't get that kind of publicity, I don't believe Pacquiao is in a position where he can help the country as a politician or a public servant due to his lack of qualifications to do such a job and almost all fighters are the same way. Very few fighters had the vision and the political intelligence to be influencial/successful in that field like Ali for instance, now ask urself this, has Pacquiao shown us anything that might indicate that he can be like or even close to Ali in that regard? What's Pacquiao's vision and goals as a politician? People sympathize with him because it's a great success story to go from being an absolute nothing to being a politician, but not everyone is qualified enough to be one.

Mexican arent starving like the U.S. lol unemployment rates are lower in Mexico than the U.S., Hell Mexico overtook the US for fattest nation.
So wtf is you talking about.

A U.N. report says Mexicans are the heaviest of the world's larger nations, even as they battle hunger and malnutrition; how did it come to this?

In 2025, Mexico's unemployment rate was 2.67 percent, compared with 2.68 percent in the previous year.

Which Pacquiao? The one who cheated on his esposa, ate Roaches dog, and took PED's?

Mexico's GDP per capita is 5x of PI's. Mexico Gross Domestic Product is $1.2 trillion USD, PI's is $272 billion USD. Mexico is a much richer country, they don't need help with money, they need help with crime rate. A boxer can not fix that.

Why would any mexican boxer go into politics in Mexico. Doesn't make sense. If you make money with boxing, you are in trouble in Mexico because there are many people who want to rob you. They broke in into JMM's house a couple of times.
If you are a politician in Mexico you are in double trouble because there's always a cartel which wants to kill you.

They need help with reducing drug cartels and crime overall.

But that ain't gonna happen anytime soon. The people of Mexico are too weak and fragile to fight back against them.
