CANELO: "SO WHAT if my FIGHT NIGHT WEIGHT is 180-190.. WHO gives a F***!!"
Collapse

No all of them rehydrated that much while holding a belt.
Crawford was 155 defending his Jr WW, belt against Lundy.
Pac was champ at 130 and would be at fights at 146.
Trout was 171 defending his WBA against Nelo.
Funny how the word coward or unfair was never used with them.
And tell me what true middle weight has he dragged down in weight. Cotto?
Because he's fought nothing but Jr. MW'S and simply made them go 1 pound over.
But you're not bias right?Comment

I never get Why people think weighing some huge weight on fight night is a good thing.
If you have to lose and then gain 20lbs + of water and regain that in 24 hours it's not good for you.
The bodies not like a petrol tank it takes time and nutrients and energy to get that water into the right places in different cells etc.
If Canelo fights at 180 that means he was severely dehydrated just 24 hrs earlier at the weigh and the effects of that can linger for days even weeks.Comment

And no one forces the guys to accept the contracted weight. That's why there are negotiations and give and take.
You however only point this out in Canelo because you don't like him.Comment

Cotto did the same thing. Demanded his opponents to come to the weight he chose. Pacquiao , Mayweather did the same. It's called being the A side.

Terrence Crawford weighed 152lbs against Gamboa for a fight at 135.
Maidana weighed 165lbs against Mayweather for a fight at 147.
Trout weighed 170+ against Canelo for a fight at 154.
A common practice in boxing that only becomes a problem when it's someone you dislike.Comment
