    2. Y'all are bitter you still look worse.
Here is the problem with that. Khan is usually always in shape, pretty damn good shape.

Khan has been training for months because he wasn't sure if he would get the nod for Pacquiao and he was training hard last year because he wanted to be ready in case he got Mayweather.

There are photos of him training around last November I think and he did NOT look anywhere near this shape.

The last thing Khan wants to spend weeks focusing on cutting down excess weight when he needs to focus 100% on strategy.

That and Ive noticed weight displacement tends to happen between 140 -160. Cotto, Maidana, Hoya, Rios, Marquez (pre steroid accusation) all went through a soft faze during their jump up. Many needed a fight or two to acclimate to the weight change.

Ideally, a boxer should be in shape year-round. Yes, I know that a lot of them aren't, but, if you want to reap the most benefit career-wise, that's the way to go. You're not going to be able to perform at your best, otherwise.

In Khan's case, I'm confused; is it simply that he let himself gain weight from all the waiting, or is this somehow intentional?

Either way, it's a bad move. If you want to go up, eat more of what you normally eat while training. Keep the rest of training the same way, unless your body can perform just as well or better with additional muscle. That's pretty much all you can do.

If you're not naturally a big person, stuffing yourself to a bigger weight won't help much. In Khan's case, it may even diminish his only advantage--speed.
