This is no way to prepare for a Golovkin fight. Canelo's recent comments about not being a middleweight, and wanting to fight at 154 suggests, he will be vacating his WBC Middleweight Title after the Khan fight.

We all know that if Mayweather is to return, it will be in September, or never. I mean he isn't going to wait 18 months before making a return at the age he is at.

Will we see Mayweather v Canelo 2 for the vacant WBC Light Middleweight Title in September. I mean this would probably be the highest selling PPV fight, after Mayweather v Pacquiao?

why would Floyd come back to rematch a figheter he humiliated?

Alvarez was embarassed well beyond manny. He couldn't even win a round.

The it'll be a great payday arguement is ****ted on from the get go because there's no demand for this fight.

Rolled my eyes at the idea that this is to "prepare" for another fight. It's a fight that'll generate decent money. It doesn't need to be a preparation for anything.

True. The only reason i would see for May to fight Canelo is for the mw title, without that the fight becomes pointless.

He's fighting Khan for an easy KO against a name. No other reason.

Yup. Besides, everyone knows you gotta beat Berto to get a Floyd fight.

I have no problem with Canelo vacating the title. If he tries to keep the middleweight title and defend it against GGG or another middleweight at 155 I have a problem with that. He would be no better than Cotto the catchweight king and pretend middleweight champ. Mayweather will not be coming out of retirement to fight Canelo after Canelo almost certainly splats Khan. Canelo will not agree to fight Mayweather at any less than 154 and Mayweather won't go for that.
