After weeks of optimistic talks amongst all parties, the anticipated clash between Francisco Vargas and Orlando Salido is now a reality.

Vargas will fight Salido in what is expected to be an all-out brawl on June 4, manager Sean Gibbons confirmed to BoxingScene.com.

Vargas will defend his WBC junior lightweight title against Salido at the Stubhub Center in Carson, Calif. HBO will broadcast the fight live.

Possible Fight of the Year

This is going to be a toe to toe battle. I think Salido has the experience, the heart, and the grit. However I think Vargas is the most complete fighter and has more tools to work with.

I think Vargas stops Saildo.

I'll be interested to see who will be on the undercard. My early guess will be Jo Jo Diaz, Slava, or Antonio Orozco
