Ward needs to be on his A-game, Barrera is a very dangerous fighter, easily a top 10 LHW.

Barrera is more dangerous and arguably better than ANY of Kovalev's wins at LHW. He's a big strong dude at 6'2 and throws hard combos.

He did significantly better against Murat than either Hopkins or Cleverly, got hit less too.

I hope Ward gets KTFO!!!!! Tied of hearing how great he is considering how little he has accomplished in his stumbling bumbling joke of a boxing career. A "has been that never really was" is a far better description of him. I can hear the wardtard fans pulling every excuse out of their asses when he gets put to sleep. What Fouls? Headbutts haven't been a problem with Ward at all since probably the Bika fight in which most of that was initiated by Bika and his wildness on the inside.

Sorry but great fighters prepare for EVERYTHING, yes including fouls. Like Lennox Lewis vs Holyfield, Holyfield loved to get inside in which he use to head butt a lot of his opponents. What Lennox do? He kept Holyfield at the end of his jab and kept him from getting inside. Not about having it "Figured Out" it is just COMMON ***ING SENSE!

Fans just like to make excuses instead of holding their guy responsible! You guys b1tch about Headbutts, Clinching and Running but rarely do I see fan put pressure on their guys to do something about it. If a guy "runs" then learn how to cut the ***ing ring off, if a guy fights dirty inside, try to keep him from getting inside! If you can't keep him from getting inside then make his ass pay when he get inside:



Clearly these fighters are just not that good if their fans have to make excuses every time they either lose to a certain style or don't look as good vs Certain Styles

I don't see how he wasn't a good example. You implied that LHWs can't have blazing speed, to which I offered up someone who had it in bunches. Sure, Dawson's prime came and went, but to me he left a lasting impression as a LHW with serious speed.

As for today, Stevenson has great single-shot speed.

My main point is that with power punchers, there will be a little less speed than someone like Dawson, who had speed, but not so much power. In a division where power is king, one can see why Dawson didn't last.

Dawson didn't last not because of his psychical skills but because he was mentally weak, had a poor attitude, and had no respect for his trainers. Chad's skills eroded because he was switching trainers way too often.
