Forget Floyd. How about Canelo vs MacGregor? The Irish vs the Mexican? Rabid boxing fanbase there, yes? Put it over on Cinqo Da Mayo weekend? Lots of money for all parties and most likely an edifying throw down.

People laugh but this would do INSANE numbers and possibly eclipse those of Floyd/Pac. Loud brash irishman vs loud brash African American. The buildup and trash talk would be ppv worthy in itself.

Bull****. 99.9% of fighters still have a tremendous amount of pride and ego, they care about whether they win or lose. Floyd's whole persona revolves around money and paychecks, but he himself cares as much as anyone has about winning or losing. I assume McGregor is the same.

I'm an MMA fan, but a lot of fighters in the UFC are so obsessed with Floyd, it's cringeworthy at this point. Then again, Conor is looking for the biggest checks he can get, so I can't blame him for looking outside the UFC. But all this talk is just unrealistic
            Floyd by ko/tko.

top mma fighters will never beat top boxers in a boxing match and vice versa. who the f does conor think mayweather is? lol

and i disagree about mma fighters using floyd's name. all the mma fighters that have mention mayweather is because floyd talked about them first.

floyd talking about he doesnt know anderson silva

            floyd talking about ronda

floyd talking about how mcgregor copies him but gets praises

I doubt this has much of a chance of happening, BUT eventually this sorta thing is gonna happen, UFC champ vs boxing champ.

Boxers already have the freedom to do what they want so thats not the problem. UFC guys are eventually gonna have more freedom as MMA guys wise up & get a union & the UFC helps them wise up & get a union with ****ty business moves for fighters with deals like the Reebok deal thats already helped get 2 bigger UFC names (Benson Henderson & Phil Davis) to jump ship to a competing MMA group.

Plus White is just a bold ass guy who I think realizes stars soar & blaze out quick in combat sports when they are fighting high level opposition so if UFC guys don't get freedom quick enough I suspect they'll be a guy good enough & a boxer soft enough that he'd be willing to take the risk at a UFC guy potentially hurting his rep. I mean ultimately Dana & dem will be getting paid too to "rent out" or get a % cut from a UFC guy who transitions over to boxing I would assume like I assume them to get from the WWE with UFC guys who've flipped over to WWE for a night. Its probably a win win situation with the right opponent as a L in another sport isn't likely to hurt THAT much + if a guy hasn't got any good options in his division it might be the highest paid "fight" he/the UFC can get thus it'd work out for all parties.

This is hilarious, Floyd doesn't even do anything and all these UFC fighters are gunning for him like he's an MMA fighter. Anyway, we all know what happened last time a UFC fighter became obsessed with Floyd HAHA

Haha It's Floyd who has to be open to the idea, not Conor. Lol
