I am hoping this means that Canelo just gave up the belt and GGG is now full WBC middleweight (160 pound) champion! It's so obvious Canelo knows he has time on his side and wants to fight a 35 or 36 year old Golovkin. GGG should put his focus on Saunders after Wade.

Stop being ignorant and biased. I think it's HEALTHY for Golovkin to take on a good name, why are his fans so scared of that?!? I'm hating on him because I want him to get a name first so that he makes more money and comes out better in the Canelo fight?? FFS you guys are insecure. I honestly think it can wait until Golovkin fights a named opponent. Be it Lara or (as sad as this is) Hopkins. While the fight makes sense for hardcore fans right now, for the promoters to really cash-in there needs to be some build-up. As ****** as Canelo-Kahn is, there is a ton of interest already. Genady doesn't have any momentum and is the weak side in the marketing scheme here. Give him someone that will fully introduce him to casuals and convince them to fork over PPV money.

They have made NO EFFORT WHATSOEVER to land that fight, either by negotiating in good faith, or by improving Gennady's marketability.

All Golovkin has to do is what Canelo did, what Mayweather did, what Hopkins did, and what Pacquiao did..... he can have that fight whenever he wants it.
