Who is the better boxer? Canelo or Khan?

I think we can all agree Canelo has the edge on power and Khan is faster, but in your opinion who is the better boxer?

I say Canelo. He outboxed a good boxer in Cotto and kept up with Lara and Trout. He has shown better timing, ring generalship, and defense than Khan.

Canelo, by far. Khan's only advantage here is speed, which is an overrated attribute if you don't know how to properly implement it.

On paper, possibly Kahn. But, he's not near as effective as Canelo due to Canelo being stronger and more durable. Couple that with a significant size difference and it's heavy in Canelo's favor. Technique is not something strictly cerebral, it must be APPLIED.

Khan is the better boxer when he wants to be.

Canelo has shown more ability against better fighters. How is it even a question? Just because Khan can sort of get in and out doesnt actually make him a better "boxer". Canelo has more skill it every range. Better reflexes, defensive instincts, counter puncher, jabber, body puncher (I do think Khan is an underrated body puncher though), timing, etc. khan only has a noticeable difference in foot speed. Hand speed Khan has a slight edge but Canelo has good handspeed and better timing..and khan can put multiple ounches together faster although more pitty patter than not...but Canelo can put combinations together quickly and keeps his balance and power through the whole sequence while staying in the fight and keeping his defense in mind.


Khan will leap in, chin up, hands at his side trying to throw a combination quickly and like anyone who wasnt intimidated by Khan he will dig in and blast a left hook to stop him and Khan will prdictably leap straight back, hands up and Canelo will step in with a straight right down the pipe or to the body. Khan has more energy and should do well when Canelo isnt punching.


Canelo is just sharper and better but Khan has this sneaky type of pop that coupled with his speed he might be able to tag CAnelo hard coming in


Unfortunately for Khan, Canelo has shown a great chin vs bigger stronger fighters.


We all know Khan is going to try to pot shot and clinch all fight but I dont see how he can effectivey do it over 12. Everyone is able to time Khan and kind of figure out his rhythm so...it seems inevitable

People who thinks Khan has elite boxing skills are so wrong. To say he has never been outboxed is ridiculous.
