Lets be honest, if you're going life and death with a 2013 version of Malignaggi, you're not taking over anything. If Paulie was a bit younger he would have schooled Broner.

Also, as tough as Maidana is, any Elite fighter will find a way to beat him. Broner couldn't.

Broner has found his level. He can't beat the top guys around his weight, he's just a level below but can probably beat the other contenders. It is what it is.
