17 y.o right leg prosthesis, i want to go pro in uk

I am 17 years old romanian, turning 18 on April, i have a wish since i lost 13 cm of my bone when i was 9 to cancer, now i have an internal prosthesis and doesn't affect me, i can still do sports, at school i play any kind of sports : basket, football, volleyball.

Before the cancer phase i was appointed to fight in the european championship in WKF but the illness stroke a few months before the championship.

I remained with a hole in me because of this... Now i will finish high school here and go study in England, there i want to star training on a daily basis until i can turn pro. I don't want to make a living out of boxing, no ofense ment for those how do, i just know i am not good enough and never will to make a living form boxing

Then again, i saw that for turning pro you need a medical examination, if the doctors say i am able to do will i be accepted as a pro?

In my opinion i am able to do it, i know that they do it to "protect" me, but i don't want them to protect me.

Yes you will be protected to a certain degree. Trust your trainers to determine what's best for you. If you can't trust your trainers you need new trainers

It sounds like you're a really tough kid. You already beat one of man kinds worst enemies in cancer. At this point you can probably become great at whatever you truly focus your time and energy into. You also will have the opportunity to give many other kids in your situation hope. God bless you in your journey. Thanks for sharing.

There was a professional boxer in the 80's-90's that lost his leg in a motor cycle accident and continued his career. While on a prosthesis he actually rose through the ranks and recieved a shot at the WBA cruiserweight title in 1990.

        Craig Bodzianowski

I recorded a couple of his bouts and was a alright fighter but obviously the handicap affected his movement.

I always wondered if was allowed to weigh in without his prosthesis?
