  • Silly. There was never any need for a "blueprint." Canelo is flatfooted. Control distance intelligently against him and you have a chance to win. That's the blueprint for most of Mayweather's victims.

That being said I would give Khan a huge amount of respect if he manages to pull it off. Jumping up 2 weight divisions and beating someone who nobody thought he could beat would be huge. I think he would have earned a place as one of the P4P best current fighters
Floyd stained almost every win he got over those great fighters and the fight with Canelo is no different. If Khan were to beat Canelo without pulling the A-side mess that Floyd did, it shouldn't be a surprise that Khan would be perceived as better than Floyd.

Nonsense, look at the opponents Khan has fought then look at the opponents Mayweather has fought. Look at how Mayweather dominated pretty much everyone he fought, while Khan got ko'ed twice and lost to Lamont Peterson.

Mayweather fought a much better version of Maidana that Khan fought, how did Floyd stain that fight? what about Mayweather going up in weight and giving various concessions to De la hoya?

Mayweather already schooled Canelo badly, even if Khan beats Canelo it would be completely delusional to say he is even close to Mayweathers caliber.

The whole weight issue surrounding the Canelo fight, the gloves issue with the Maidana fight, sabotaging his camp in the rematch, and the IV situation makes it really hard to give Floyd any credit for those wins he got. I'm not a fan of Khan but lets be honest, you don't hear anything like this going on his career so far and at the same time, he's taking a much more riskier fight compared to Floyd fighting a past-his-prime De La Hoya or a weight-drained (and supposedly green) Canelo. So I'm just saying, if someone were consider Khan better than Floyd with this match alone, it really shouldn't be a surprise. Not saying you have to agree with it, though.
