Comments Thread For: Hugo Ruiz's Promoter: No Ceja Trilogy, We Want Carl Frampton!

Promoter Sampson Lewkowicz of Sampson Boxing wishes to congratulate the fighter he co-promotes (along with Oswaldo Kuchle of Promociones Del Pueblo), Hugo "Cuatito" Ruiz, for his title winning victory on Saturday night.

Fighting on the Showtime-televised co-main event last Saturday (February 27) at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, Ruiz (36-3, 32 KOs) gained revenge against Julio Cesar Ceja and took back his WBC World Super Bantamweight Championship via TKO 1 (:51 seconds).

Bull****. Ceja gave Ruiz a rematch so it's time to return the favor and give the ex champion a chance to redeem himself.

i wouldnt give him one right away either tbh..this man is in the al haymon camp..he can get 3 belts if he wins that fight ruiz would glady wait on the winner if he is offered 3 belts..and who are you to say that ruiz is healthy enough to fight when the time the champ is ready...
rigo vs frampton needs to happen first tho...
donair and frampton hold the keys to getting this division 1 champ..this division is closer than any other imo including lwh when one man holds 3 belts

The guy broke his leg. Ceja is asking for a rematch a year from now, unless he plans to do it on crutches. Ruiz is free of that for now. Frampton sounds good... but Rigo sounds better.

No Frampton fight, no one is screaming for that except Ruiz's promoter! Frampton, has much bigger fish to fry with Rigo, Santa-Cruz.
