He got knocked down, but he got hit like three times quick then went down, but think about it he came back and still gave a hell of a fight, his chin is still good but not great and shouldnt be a problem, he should now go for 12 rounds not 8.

It was a split decision, ie a close fight. The 2 judges preferred the work rate of Jimenez over the ringmanship of Escobedo. It's Escobedo who hurt Jimenez who is a very strong, but very limited club type fighter. Jimenez took a lot of flush punches and would lose a 10-12 rounder. Jimenez's style won't last long either because he gets beat up. I'd pick Escobedo for the rematch in a heartbeat.

The only reason it was a split decision was because the name Escobedo struck fear in the mind of one judge. There was no way Escobedo was gonna get that nod if he didn't have the "Golden Boy" attached to his resume. Jimenez may have taken flush punches, and so did Escobedo, and who folded easily? It was a flick that toppled Escobedo, ala Corrales. If both were club fighters, Jimenez was definitely a better club fighter.

It's you who should watch more and talk less.

I saw KD on a up close replay..

The top knucle part part of the glove caught him square on the lower chin and that little touch buckled his whole face. It looked like a shot you always see in the UFC..

On the replay during the fight, his lower face did that ripple effect, it was a straight chin buckle..
