It costs approx $300,000 to raise the average child til age 18 and you know you're at a major disadvantage in today's world if your parents cut you off at 18 so that amount is very modest

Not many people just have 2.5 million laying around in their 20s/30s when they're having kids. With 8 kids and an average income you're either govt dependent or neglecting them.
