What level of fighter is Shannon Briggs?

I made a previous thread on Frank Bruno and most people listed him as a B level fighter.

What level would you say Shannon Briggs is?

I have never understood the a b and c grading system. Go to boxrec. They rank every pro heavyweight in the world. Briggs is rated 50th in the world if I remember correctly. His last 5 opponents are rated between 200th and 300th in the world. In other words he cherry picks bums that have no chance to win. He was slaughtered by Vitali years ago and only landed 7 punches in the entire fight. He is no more of a serious threat to the heavyweight champions than Bruno is.

Considering the state of hw boxing today & Briggs has a big punch, it wouldnt surprise me if he could win vs todays "top" hws. He is a risk with no reward so we wont be seeing that though.

I like Briggs, he's a cool, upbeat guy that climbed the mountain.
I wouldn't count him out vs haye, wilder or Joshua

Given he has beaten low rated opponents while on his keep active tour.. I have to rate him low. His saving grace is his massive power. I think thats why he can't get fights with younger guys. Risk reward situation.
