Comments Thread For: Malignaggi, Bernstein Blown Away By Ruiz's Quick KO Win

In a rematch of the WBC Super Bantamweight World Title he lost last August, the new 122-pound champion Ruiz improved his record to 5-0 in rematches (with five knockouts) as he delivered a stunning first-round knockout against Ceja, who injured his right ankle on a powerful clean right just seconds into the fight sending him to the canvas.

Only one name. Rigo. Ruiz has a punchers chance with anybody. No guts no glory.

Just a quick critique of this article...

The little guys are unknown to begin with(In Hugo Ruiz's case not so little at almost 5'10"), and journalists are not doing them any favors by just writing "Ruiz" and "Ceja" throughout the entire article. You say Mayweather and Pacquiao's full names in articles, Cotto's, Canelo's, you say their full names. Not one mention of the full names Hugo Ruiz and Julio Ceja in this article. Lol like they're not important, but then you want to tell us that the lower weights are great.

Don't know why Showtime allows Malignaggi to comment he's irrelevant in boxing.

"Said SHOWTIME analyst Paulie Malignaggi: "I've never seen a first-round KO that soon in a fight of this much importance."

Uhh, you just got through seeing Quillin/Jacobs which was WAY more surprising.
