People are easily underestimating ruslan here. The guy might be flatfooted but the dudes a living tank and never backs down. Provo can pull an upset.

Crawford only has like 2 fights at 140, right? Provo would be a test. And it will probably be a more fan friendly fight than Postol too. If he's fighting 3 times this year, I am for it.

Bad fight, though an upgrade from the recent bum tour. Though there's not much talent at the weight classes Crawford's been in, Provodnikov is Postol's former sparring partner. Says it all right there.

Never said he was shot, but it's clear to me that he's done at the elite level of boxing.

I've changed my tune a bit on the fight though, he'd be a nice name on Crawford's resume

I don't hate this fight as much as the rest of you guys. Admittedly I might be biased because Ruslan and Bud are both some of my favorite fighters.

I wish those two would have fought last night instead of Lundy.

Provo isn't gonna quit and if he can draw Crawford into a brawl then we could get a great fight. Ruslan was able to make Tim draw, maybe he can do it again. Bud has already showed a pattern of getting angry and trying to hurt guys when they land a few on him. Plus the way Bud starts slow in fights could give Ruslan the opportunity to land a few early, pissing Bud off and making him wanna land big back on Ruslan instead of just winning rounds.

Obviously if Bud stays smart and boxes he's gonna win, but at the very least he's not gonna get an easy KO with Ruslan. Provo will make him earn that stoppage.

I want to see him vs Postol Next, not sure WTF HBO has against Postol and why they don't want him back on their Network or what is going on but damn why not just make Crawford vs Postol?
That is the fight I want to see, like you, I don't get what HBO's gripe is. I think it has something to do with how Postol beat Matts which wasn't the plan because Matts was their boxer, their "boogeyman" as people liked to refer to him. Now they want to punish him instead of bringing him into the fold.

Sounds like Arum is hoping that Ruslan is shot and being an easy win based off of his last performance and like you said, will provide a good name for the resume. I know that Ruslan said he was "tight" heading into that fight and just couldn't get off. Later on in the fight though, he was landing that vicious left hook on Matts....I guess anything could happen.
