april 30, does showtime roll with jack vs chavez jr or walters vs loma

So here goes both fights look to be heading to that date.... we know there rumblings of top rank going back to ShowTime and with Walters, loma, postol, crawford, nonito, bradley, ramire z,valdez, verdejo, ramirez and everybody else ShowTime would be wise to throw them a bone on that great fight. Thing is we know ShowTime has been haymons b**** network so what you think there gonna do? Still such a bad move by HBO letting that fight go... especially with that being the week before the canelo fight. Would help for the build up with 24/7 airing after and all....

... you can't be serious right?

Jack vs Chavez Jr, from Staples Center in LA, ****s on anything that Bob Arum could offer up.

Top Rank is getting the raw dog from Peter Nelson's HBO, so trying to deflect that to something about Arum moving on to play interests against each other makes you look silly.

Obviously Jack-Chavez is the more marketable fight. Loma-Walters is the more meaningful fight though.

I still think it winds up on HBO, and this is just Arum playing hardball. Loma vs Walters is the better fight, but Chavez Jr at the Stapels would still likely be a bigger show.

But we will see. If the PBC is going to gear up again like it did last year and have 3-4 major cards a month, it would make sense for Showtime to put some Top Rank fights on the air. They would have money to spend and Top Rank could give them some good fights.

            But it's boxing,so who knows?

I wouldn't even say that, as the Jack/ChavezJr winner is basically lined up to fight James Degale over the summer, in a fight that basically determines the new top dog at 168 (with Sturm just winning the WBA title, and WBO champ Abraham being a win away from another massive money fight in Germany, you can hold those two aside for the moment).

Lomachenko vs Walters at 130 determines what exactly?

I'm a PBC fan, but Jack-Chavez does nothing for me in terms of the sport. I'm sure it would do great numbers if PBC was smart enough to put it on CBS, NBC, or FOX in primetime, but Chavez is not a contender in this sport. He's only made 168 once since losing to Martinez and leaving MW.

Loma-Walters features two of the best lower weight fighters in a matchup of boxer vs. puncher. It would also set Loma up as a top P4P fighter if he was able to pass that test.

PBC has 10 terrestrial TV primetime shows schedule for the year (Garcia-Guerrero, Thurman-Porter, and SpenceJr-Algieri have already filled three slots). With the amount of fights/fight cards that PBC is likely turning out (on just the mandated/planned fights alone, PBC has Wilder-Povetkin, Stevenson-Alvarez, Degale-Uzcategui, Jack-Smith, Charlo-Jackson, Martirosyan-Williams, Berto-Peterson, VasquezJr-Barrionuevo, Andrade-Hatley, Ishe-Cota, Zlaticanin's WBC 135lb title shot, Pedraza-Smith, Uchiyama-Fortuna, Selby-Hunter, Frampton-Wake, Payano-McDonnell), Showtime isn't going to be hurting for quality fights (especially with PBC's massive slate of prospects starting to be moved in step-up fights).

Bob Arum is a snake; Espinoza knows he's a snake and, most importantly, CEO/Chairman/President of CBS Les Moonves knows that Arum's a snake.

Why ever do business with a guy who can't honor a handshake or act in good faith?
