I agree. Cotto-JMM is a nice idea. But, the weight is a major hurdle that I don't think either guy is gonna budge on. One's a jr welterweight and the other is a jr middleweight. In a perfect world, 147 would be fair. But at this stage in his career, I don't think Cotto ia gonna be willing to put his body through that for anyone. And a rehydration clause basically insures that he won't be entering the ring 100%. And I just dont see it happening. For it to happen, JMM is gonna jave to budge quite a bit on one of the weight demands, probably both.

I highly doubt this fight happening. The days of WW are behind Cotto as he didn't do well in that division anyhow once he outgrew it. Marquez always looks for certain fights I dunno why. He's been chasing cotto for a while now for some weird reason. crawford would actually be a better match but Juan gets OCD as Hell.

Smart decision by Marquez. Crawford is a young animal, will be too much for him and not enough money on the table to take that beating and to get outclassed.

I don't mind JMM fighting Cotto but Danny Garcia would be a perfect opponent for him as well.

YEah, I think hes been out of the ring for too long. I would like to see a tune up before I make a prediction. Crawford gets hit alot with flush shots. If Marquez is nowhere near what he was, he could win. But as u said, hes old plus hes been inactive with injuries, not a good mix...

I recall Waarquez fighting....Mayweather Tim Bradley, Joel Casamayor, and many others in his earlier career, so your statement is completely and utterly false.

I like the fight because I think it will be exciting one, but man, this would have been awesome some years ago. Lets say 2010? Would have been superb fight to see, shame that it never happened.

I would like to see Cotto against Khan too someday. Or Bradley.

                    Or hell, Bradley vs Khan.

But I doubt that any of those will happen
