Why I don't like this fight for Loma is b/c Loma is better than Walters but he's smaller and he doesn't have much of a punch. He's got tremendous accuracy but he's not powerful.

He showed us against Salido that it's tough on him against a bigger fighter and I know that Salido was dirty and Loma probably deserved the win, but just the same it was tough for him.

Walters is a bigger, longer, more powerful and has less tear and wear than Salido and if they were to fight at 130 I have no doubt that Loma outboxes him for the first half of the fight but he might get axed in the second.

I know Vasil is better than Gamboa but look what happened to Gamboa against Crawford who now fights at 147 and their fight took place at 135.

Vasil should get more fights at 126 and be busier with his schedule then I see him going to 130.

Why would Walters want to come down to 126 when he had trouble making weight last time?

Loma can move up, thats much easier to do.

For Loma is easy to fight at 130 than for rigo to fight at 126 . Rigo and Loma should fight at 124 , or at 126 , having the weight in the same day of the fight , like in the olimpics .

Loma is a 135 pounders , and rigo is a 122 naturally .... Hope they fight , though . Rigo beats him ....

Loma-Walters can always rematch at a higher weight later, but those 126 fights won't always be there.
Didn't Walters fans say he could make 126 when Loma was supposedly ducking him? Why the sudden change in mind? I think even Walters said he could make it.
He may have said it but that was proven false when he DIDN'T make 126 which is why he lost his belt... So no matter what Walters says he can't sweat out 4 more pounds and make 126.

actually, this is one occasion where i think a split-the-difference catchweight might be the best option. make it 128 lbs, why not?
Yeah. If Loma moves up to 130 the WBO may strip him out of his 126 title, that's the thing. It's pretty obvious that Top Rank wants to really give that belt to Oscar Valdez.
If Loma-Walters happens at 130 it won't be for a belt like it is at 126.
I'll be ok with either weight class, but I hope they really think it through, because there really is a lot of big fights that could still happen at 126 for Loma (especially, like you said, if Showtime gets involved) and if Loma gets stripped those fights may not happen. Like I said they can always have a Walters rematch at a higher weight later. It's not like Walters is going anywhere.

But but I thought he could and Loma was just ducking. Hilarious how that has changed now that the fight looks more realistic to happen.

"Oh Walters can make 126, Loma just doesn't want it."

I kind of agree, but fk catchweights.

I support Rigo, always will..... but look at Lomachenko's approach to the weight vs Walters. It's not right to pull him down in weight.

Rigo has to go to 126 for that fight, maybe with a rehydration clause, although they are just as bad imho.

And it is no slight on him whatsoever if he chooses not to.

What im saying is perception goes BOTH ways(like some of yall)

Whatever..LomaWalters is a fkkn is a badace matchup! Make it happen you greazy snake Bob!! This ol man trashing HBO when ue doesnt even have the fight signed off, which was probably the issue. Bob was probably gonna bait then switch to a trash, recycled matchup..fkr

Neither is ducking, they fight in different divisions.

If one of them dare's to be great, by giving a little, then thats on them.
