Why do fighters get praised for moving up weight classes?

I noticed in boxing its much more likely someone moves up weight divisions then say in the UFC. But if you look at it, it is much easier. 5 pounds between most divisions is nothing 122,126,130,135,140,147,154,160. Unlike in the UFC there is a huge difference. 125,135,145,155,170,185 etc...

So take someone like Floyd at 27 140/147lb and take Conor at 27 145lb who was suppose to fight at 155 now fighting at 170. That's like Floyd fighting at 160 which he never did. Boxers have a easier time with so much weight divisions to make it seem like there doing something special when there not.

It only Boxer that are old now that do something special like Rigo or JMM who are both undersized for there weight divisions.
