  • Comments Thread For: Monica Bradley on Atlas, Being Manager, Dropping Dunkin

It is conceivable that Monica Bradley has the second toughest job in the world. Give Barack ***** the nod for No. 1.

Bradley is the wife of word-class boxer TIM BRADLEY. She is also his manager. She has given birth to his children and felt a different kind of pain, no less intense, as she watched him get hit in the face, time after time, until she wasn't sure, at the end of the fight, she'd even have a husband.

I don't like the wife/manager model, never have, but that girl is growing on me.

That was a great puff piece, but I'm not convinced Bradley is any better of a fighter since bringing in Atlas.

Can't even hate on her, she definitely has Tims best interest at heart. The Dunkin thing seems kind of BS and makes sense because he does appear like a de-facto TR manager kind of lame he would distance himself from Tim knowing full well a rematch would be done down the line.

It's crazy she got nominated for manager of the year.

Article not written by the same Dwyer who predicts fights for bets on YouTube?

A good read nonetheless. Interesting to hear from Monica's side of the story.

Best of luck to the Bradleys. I have reservations about any family or close friendships in boxing, especially involving the managerial side, but there's no doubt she has Tim's best interests in mind.

And let's be honest, Diaz wasn't teaching Bradley anything new. Whether Atlas was the right choice or whether Bradley can't help but revert back to bad habits no matter who trains him, a switch was a good idea.

I'm happy she finally got a chance to tell her side of the story. She's doing what's best for her family. When Tim is 50 years old and punch drunk (God forbid) she'll be the one changing his diapers, not Dunkin, Arum or Diaz.
