I'll be disappointed in Wilder if he vacates the belt. Even if the fight ends up being held in Russia he stands to get 70% of the purse, perhaps even more.

But let's see what happens. Ryabinsky might just be running his mouth.

Ryabinsky is frustrated that DiBella/Haymon are working against reaching a deal, and that Wilder might vacate instead (I don't think he will).

If I was Wilder I would want to be paid up front, because what recourse does he have if he wins and they are like nah we don't want to pay.

See Russia and that Italian soccer coach whom they over paid for.

Wilder is an idiot if he vacates... Remember when quillen vacated, and how well it turned out for him...

After all the shit that Wilder has talked, he'll lose all of his waning credibility if he vacates his title, rather than face Povetkin. It doesn't matter if he vacates to chase another belt, he already has said he wants to eventually become the undisputed HW champ of the world. Can't do that if he gives up one belt to fight for another.
