Not surprising as Owen Beck had similar issues & he couldn't get licenced in any of the big boxing states. Rivas had a few eye injuries & his career was almost over. Calvin Brock is another guy that comes to mind. He is legally blind in row eye following surgery after his fight with Eddie Chambers. A couple years ago he was said to be done then he came back & fought in Quebec a few times. You only have 2 eyes. If you can't get licenced in Vegas, NY or California then there is no real chance of getting those big fights. He can make a decent living in Quebec but he will be limited to how far he can go if he can't get a licence in the big 3. Joe Mesi retired because he couldn't get a licence in the big 3. He could sell out Buffalo arenas but when the NYSAC wouldn't grant him a licence he called it a career.

What and when did something happen to his eyes? Bad for him!
