Hopefully they Bob Arum is being sincere because there are a lot of fights I would like to see. It is, however, something I doubt. The timing of this makes me consider the possibility of him trying to gain leverage for his lawsuit. At the moment, he's arguing that Haymon is freezing them out of the market, so I would not put it past him to try and create examples of Haymon refusing to work with him.

Salido was a tough veteran who fought like a dirty little hoe. I can't applaud a guy for cheating brashly towards victory, but Loma should've boxed better himself. He seemed unprepared for that style and perhaps unnerved by it. I think he's learned from it tho. I don't think Leo is better than Salido, maybe with drug testing.
I want to see loma vs leo because I think its great fight
I dont think its a shutout either but a 50/50 fight

Adrien Broner won't ever be an elite guy but he's got some star power to give to Crawford, it would be a good fight for Crawford to grow from. It would have been a much mroe interesting fight than Lundy.
Again with Leo Santa Cruz, that's a good fight for Lomachenko, yes Bob's guy has a better chance of winning but Leo is undefeated and has about 30 fights to Loma's 6. It's a good fight with the odds of an upset, Leo throws alot. Walter is too big a leap I've felt, but after Leo it'd feel alot closer.
That's not to state the obvious that Arum doesn't have 200+ fighters to throw away and is looking for winnable yet growth inducing fights from his guys vs other stables.Last edited by SplitSecond; 02-25-2016, 03:55 PM.

Not sure Leo wins it all but he did impress me against Mares

You have to wonder why Peter Nelson doesnt even want to show Loma
Hopefully it happens and it opens the door to some better opponents.

It would be pretty cool if Showtime gave Lomachenko a shot. I wouldn't blame them if they didn't since Arum has been burning all kinds of bridges and just couldn't keep his mouth shut. Maybe Showtime would be willing to give Loma an opportunity regardless. I mean it's not like Loma said anything bad about Showtime.
Showtime could tell Arum they will accept him but no mismatches. Which I am for. People think we Loma fans want to protect Loma, but I want to see him get tested. I want to see him in the ring against the best. Why not enjoy a fighters career while they are still here. The best way to enjoy a career is by seeing them get tested. Isn't that one of the more enjoyable parts about being a fan of a fighter? Father time will get to everyone, so why not make most of a fighters career. If Showtime is willing to give Loma a chance I say bring on Walters, Santa Cruz, Russell and the rest of the top fighters (a Rigo fight would be nice). 126 and 130 are good weight classes to invest in at the moment.
We still don't know 100% what exactly is going on. We need somethings cleared before we make more assumptions.
