Why did you leave out Terry Norris-Luis Santana trilogy? Santana is only fighter I know how won his title by DQ and won his first defense by DQ.

        Notice the (mostly) recurring theme?

Usually a fighter wins, then the other guy wins, then that guys wins again, ie. in the case of Ward vs. Gatti, the sequence was Ward, Gatti, Gatti...I think that in some cases it shows that the trilogy comes about from the superior boxer losing the first bout, then in the rematch the superior boxer prepares better and avenges the defeat, and then the respective television networks, promoters etc build it up like 'yeah, it's one win each, they've got unfinished business, there's a score to settle...' etc, to milk the cash cow, and then the superior boxer wins the last fight also...

you beat me too it, i was gonna say the same thing, looking at the list, most of the time the fighter who loses the first bout, wins the next 2 fights in their trilogy.

my best trilogy is barrera vs morales.
