That said, if Floyd won, the excuses would come non stop starting about round 9 or 10 when Floyd is up 7-2 and continue for another year or so.

People will do just about anything rather than admit floyd is just better than their favorite.
He'd be favored, odds wise, just because the bigger bets are going to come in on Floyd. If they make him a +200ish underdog to Triple G, they stand to lose a ton of money if he figures it out and wins.

Floyd is right on this one........

At the end of the day no one is perfect. Floyd is a HOF and whether you like him or not if you're a fan of the sport you have to respect that accomplishment. I've always felt people get to emotional about Floyd however I can see how he gets under peoples skin. When it's all said and done people need to focus on their business and make sure their family is in a good position to be successful.

Talk is cheap Floyd. If you can talk the talk, than walk the walk. Naaa, you are too much of a mouthy ***** ***** with no balls to take on a challenge with GGG. I doubt Mayweather goes 5 rounds once GGG cuts off the ring and goes to that ass. FM is the biggest GGG hater of them all !!!!

Funny how there is a 16 page thread when everyone on here seems to hate Floyd Mayweather. Sad he is the most talked about boxer among everyone hardcore/casuals, and he's supposedly retired, hasn't fought since September and no buzz about him coming back yet.

We have great up and coming fights that get little attention or debate.....but Floyd gets all this attention lmao.

Just admit he made an impression in your life either way, he was the most polarizing figure in the sport of boxing for the last 10 years, still so you continue to speak about him when he doesn't even fight anymore.

We have to see if Floyd truly is the greatest by fighting a dude who has been in a 160 lb division for 10 years, never captured lineal (although will prolly get it by default this year), and has fought no one of note. Floyd on the other hand never proved greatness from 130-154, he has to fight 160 to prove that? You fools are way too much sometimes.

If he is such a tough guy ,why didn't he prove it by fighting GGG instaed of Berto.I'll tell you why because he and everyone around him knows he can't pack GGG's jock. The GOD OF WAR ,GGG would destroy Mayfeather within 4 rounds.

Floyd's entire career can be summed up by the phrase:

              "Aversion to risk."

He's one of the best we'll ever see, but every big fight came a little late. Almost every move he made on his resume, just like the way he moved in the ring, was very calculated and defensive. I won't say it wasn't smart, he truly did beat the game. But he left a lot of people unconvinced of his greatness weighed against the all-time greats.

He was never going to fight Golovkin, he knows that. He probably could have frustrated and beaten GGG too, to be honest. But there was no way. He knew he was 100% over it and done as soon as he finally put Pacquiao on his record. And that's why we got Berto- aversion to risk.

Ironically, most of thr clowns on here calling for "cowardly" for never fighting GGG are the same ones that make excuse after excuse after sorry excuse as to why GGG can't/shouldn't fight Ward.

I have to wonder why we're hearing Floyd make his little remarks about this and that more and more lately? Looks like someone is fearing irrelevance. This is going to get played out soon Floyd, and you'll be faced with either fading away or coming back to the ring. Like your pops said, if you're coming back, don't wait too long, or you might blow your chance to beat Marciano's record.
