I am not a fan of GGG vs. Hopkins fight but clear this up for me. who is a better fighter at this stage of their career (given that Hopkins is similar to when he was vs. kovalev). We all have opinions but please answer the following questions before you answer.
1) Would Lara win any rounds or see the final bell vs. Kovalev?
2) Was there any opponent in recent history that did better against Kovalev than hopkins
3) if Hopkins and Lara fought at 168 who would win? or be favorite to win?
Now, after answering these questions, why do the same hypocrites want GGG to fight Lara but are up in arms if GGG fights Hopkins after his negotiations with the other two champions fail (which is his primary goal).
are you guys making assumptions that Hopkins is half the man he used to be when he fought Kovalev or that he would be too drained at Super middleweight? Hopkins himself said he wants this fight at that weight and we all know Hopkins is a workhorse that can make any weight he says he can make. or are you guys really upset with Hopkins for fighting again as he should just retire. Or is it the Ward Doe phenomenon where your panties are still in a bunch because GGG vs. Ward didn't happen at 168 in late 2016 (oh wait we aren't there yet).
Personally i think that both Hopkins and Lara are not great fights where GGG would be a huge favorite, but at least in the Hopkins fight the Odds would be closer (regardless of how wide they are).
anyways, enlighten me why Lara is such a good fight and Hopkins is such a bad fight.
