Everything I said is completly true, unless Wepner was skilled boxer and I'm not giving him his due.
Stallone went to watched the Ali Wepner fight at an arena PPV and came up with the boxing movie idea. The Rocky character is actually more like Joe Frazier. Should Joe Frazier get $10 million dollars? Since Apollo Creed is like Ali should Ali get $10 million too?

If there was no Wepner-Ali fight there would be no Rocky movie. There's nothing wrong with him finding creative inspiration from Wepner. Do you think he really would have paid Wepner if the fight didn't have anything to do with Rocky? Even Apollo Creed was fashioned after Muhammad Ali. Rocky 1 is still the best because it was based on real life. The rest were just utter crap.
