Hopkins is a great fighter and whatever he wants to call himself is ok with me. I don't like it when posters disrespect him by calling him Popkins.

The Executioner. The Alien (no disrepect to BHop) sounds like a name given to him after a crack binge.

Bernard Hopkins hasn't really been "The Executioner" since he was stepping into the ring with Jermaine Taylor.

Since deciding to just go up two divisions, and whopping Antonio Tarver at 40 years of age, Hopkins has basically been an enigma since then.

Going 9-3-1-(1) in his 40's, with modern boxing being what it's been, defined Hopkins as possibly "The Alien" (his spartan living was likely more key to anything, but "The Spartan" isn't all that creative a nickname).

It was great when he used to enter the ring with a black hood and behind him were two muscular executioners with axes.
