Make the fight happen, I think Hopkins as old as he is, is still just 40 inside and has the engine of a 40 year old boxer on his last legs. But I really think Hopkins has a shot. I want this fight so badly, right now and not another year later. It won't happen, it's going to be Wade then Canelo, and by that time Hopkins would likely be gone. I want the same mistake to happen twice to boxing fans, when they said after Hopkins looked all 44 years old vs Calzaghe, that Pavlik was gonna KO him at 170lbs, and Hopkins was the underdog. I said no way, Hopkins at 44 can still outbox and outclass a guy coming up in weight who's in love with his power. I'll say it again, Hopkins at 51 can outbox and outclass a guy like Golovkin coming in weight. Hopkins will nullify his power and make it a boxing match. Kovalev and GGG are not tomatoe and tomato, no matter what sparring stories you come up with about a green Kovalev(Abel Sanchez own words was that Kovalev was inexperienced and GGG was a great amateur with 350 fights and Gold medals). Make the damn fight happen this year, Hopkins wins it.

Wow some of you guys can't read. Hopkins is taking shots at Stevenson saying he fought Kovalev and would have gone down in weight to fight Golovkin. Obviously there is no Hopkins Golovkin fight made and is very, very unlikely to happen.

You're out of your mind if you don't think Golovkin would accept a 158/159 pound catch weight with Canelo. They haven't even negotiated any details of their potential fight yet.
