Will we see rivalries like pac/jmm morales / barrera in the near future?

watching their fights hit back by nostalgia

Damn the intensity and savageness of their fights is amazing its like watching a well rehearsed action movie.

Barrera and morales and their animosity towards each other pac and jmm fighting fire with fire.

What current boxers today could replicate/compare or even surpass this fights/rivalries

My guess is golovkin or canelo if they ever fought but i could be wrong tho.

I doubt no matter what the outcome of GGG vs Canelo is, there wont be a rematch much less a trilogy. Also I seriously doubt we see any trilogies above 130lbs, to much money above 130 to be made fighting other people besides the same guy unless you consider pac vs bradley on the same level as the fights you mentioned. But in order for a great trilogy to happen 1 thing definitely needs to happen, Mexico needs to produce a star under 130 and then there needs to be a Mexicutioner in or around that stars weight class. Thatll produce at least a rematch regardless the outcome. Or Mexico needs to produce 2 stars under 130 in or around the same weight class and market it as there can only be 1.

None, this era of boxing sucks......you have 50 year old popkins who could still school anyone but Kovalev at 175 ffs.....that's how bad the new generation is.

Imagine the greats of the 90's-00's against the current crop....other than a few weights, the new ones would get destroyed

          Flyweights
          Finito-Chocolatito,Estrada(close to call)

          Bantamweights
Too Sharp Johnson or Rafel Marquez - Inoue or Yamanaka(Inoue has a shot, Yamanaka gets taken to school)

          Super Bantams
Barrera or Morales or Vazquez or Pacquiao - Frampton or Quigg or Rigo (Only Rigo has a shot, others get destroyed)

          Feathers

Barrera, Morales, Marquez, Pacquiao, Prince Naz -Santa Cruz, Selby, Lomachenko(only Lomachenko belongs in the same ring and he lost to Salido)

          130
          Barrera, Morales,Marquez, Pac, Corrales, Mayweather - Uchiyama,Walters,Vargas,Fortuna(LOL)

          135
          Mosley, Marquez, Pac, Mayweather,Castillo, Corrales- Linares,Rances, Flanagan(ROFL)

          140
Mayweather, Tszyu, Pac, Hatton- Crawford,Postol, Matthysse(May and Pac clearly miles above)

          147
DLH, Mosley, Trinidad, Mayweather, Pacquiao, Quartey-Bradley, Thurman, Porter, Brook(LOL)

          154

          DLH,Trinidad,Winky,Vargas-Canelo,Lara, Charlos, Andrade(LOL)

          160
          Trinidad,Hopkins,Winky-GGG, Canelo

          168

Jones Jr, Slappy, Benn, Eubank-Abraham, Degale

          175

          Jones Jr, Hopkins, Tarver-Kovalev, Ward

          200

always crap but I'll take a 2003 Toney over anyone right now

          200+

          Lennox, Vitali - Wlad, Fury

The only guys who one would think could have a shot are all untested as fu;ck(Crawford, Loma, GGG,Inoue).....I see about 4 guys who I know can compete in those eras, Chocolatito, Ward, Rigo and Kovalev.

Eric Morales lost to Barrera and then in his very next fight, stepped in and defeated Manny Pacquiao.

Nobody is built like that anymore.

Possible. We have the Ruiz vs Ceja fight coming up which if Ruiz wins, will lead to a trilogy.

Frampton vs Quigg has rivalry written all over it.

Yep at that high level, it could be the only one....and Chocolatito is predictably pricing himself out of it.....sigh...
