Brad Goodman, matchmaker for Top Rank, has confirmed that former WBO junior welterweight world champion 'Mile High' Mike Alvarado (34-4, 23KOs) will be fighting in Saul Corral a welterweight from Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico. Alvarado's return is set to land in Houston as part of an UniMas televised card on March 19th.

He looked seriously high in all the pre-fight videos for the last Rios fight. I don't know how drug tests didn't detect the marijuana or whatever other substances he took. I can only assume they scrapped the results because he lost anyway or they didn't actually do any testing at all.

Anyway, the only way Alvarado has any shot is if he goes 100% clean. Someone should tell him that giving up marijuana is actually pretty easy, you only need get through 48 hours clean and after that it's pretty straightforward. Get some legal skunk substitute if you have any cravings and you're good to go.
