Thurman faking car accidents. WHere are the photos or proof? A car accident can range from mildly hitting another car to something serious, which this clearly is not. If you read the article it almost sounds as an automated fabricated press release. Trust me, if this was serious, the focus would be on the the accident, not the postponement.

Agreed. But this is Haymon boxing, so the overrated A-side club (Thurman, Garcia, Santa Cruz, Wilder etc.) get all the time, excuses and advantages they need.

DiBella told Yahoo Sports that Thurman suffered whiplash injuries when both air bags in his car deployed after the impact. He said Thurman attempted to spar on Saturday, but his neck and shoulder were bothering him. Doctors told him he needed four to six weeks of rest to heal. "I saw pictures of the car, and he's a very lucky young man," DiBella said.

I don't want to make light of any type of automobile accident, but this is too damn convenient. This was a fight that Thurman dodged for months. Then, after it is made, he suddenly ends up in an automobile accident? I think that accident only occurred inside Thurman's head and heart. I seriously doubt this fight will be rescheduled.

I know right, Keith is great at talking the big game but when it comes down to doing it, it's a different story!

NEW YORK (Feb. 22, 2016)–-Undefeated world champion Keith Thurman sustained an injury as a result of a car accident that has forced his March 12 welterweight title defense against Shawn Porter to be postponed. The announcement was made today by promoter Lou DiBella, president of DiBella Entertainment. According to his doctors, Thurman’s injuries are not considered serious and he is expected to be cleared to resume training in the coming weeks. Thurman vs. Porter was the main event of a scheduled two-fight card to be broadcast in prime time on CBS. This fight and the network broadcast will now be rescheduled for a later date.
