I would rather see Fonfara fight Kovalev. But hey can't hate on him getting a payday and trying to win a world title. How he survived them early rounds vs Stevenson i will never know. He looked like a man possessed and nearly turned it around at the end.

Funny how people still don't get that the Kovalev / Stevenson fight is out of the fighters hands and is blocked at a higher political level .. Anyway, Adonis has to make 2016 a big year after a very bad showing in 2015... He has to make the headlines again and keep the hope alive by meeting a strong opposition so that a Kovalev fight will again be the only fight that counts at LHW... The clock is ticking for him, and Fonfara is a step forward... Fingers crossed..

I like Fonfara, but I don't see how he wins this unless Adonis has slipped way more than I think he has.
This is a better fight than Kovalev/Pascal 2, because Fonfara has had a good win or 2 since the first fight. But, it's still a rematch of a fight that had a clear winner (the cards were 116-109 and 2 of 115-110). Adonis is a heavy favorite.

His mistake was simple last time around, he burned himself out by rabidly chasing the knockout in the early rounds. All he has to do now is to box and he will win an easy UD with one or two knockdowns along the way. It was a simple mistake that can be easily rectified.
Fonfara can't outbox Stevenson, aint gonna happen. Worst case scenario for Fonfara is that he gets desperate for a knockout himself late in the fight when it becomes clear he is going to lose a UD and walks into a counter left that puts his lights out.

Stevenson won't make the same mistake because it's a simple mistake to rectify.
