Sounds like Martinez is overlooking Berchelt. The problem with Martinez is his face first, bent forward, no defense style has made him take a lot of punishment in his career and at some point will catch up to him and his great toughness wont be enough. He is clearly an exciting warrior but gets hit way too much and doesn't know how to use his height and reach and never has. I wonder if he had, how much less punishment he would have taken and how much overall better of a fighter he would have been. He is the poster boy for how not to use your height and reach.

That's it, let's talk boxing. Forget that nationalistic junk. Belchert has good legs, he can move, but in close, he doesn't box, he swings for the moon. Martinez has faced way better boxers at home and on the road, but like you say, how long can he do it? As far as chins go, it took a lot more power and talent to KO Martinez than Belchelt.

And Martinez has a will to win that is rarely equaled. Just when you think he is getting a beat down, he comes back swinging. Berchelt has not had to show the kind of toughness that Martinez has and that can make a difference. Toughness and will to win can move mountains.

Berchelt can ****, so Martinez will have to be careful, but Salido could **** too, maybe harder, that's a mean... I digress. It's not hopeless, not like these guys say. Fighting in Mexico will be hard, 2 points for Berchelt right off the bat. Same thing visa versa, that way I don't get too upset about a home town decision.

Martinez, as much as a pluck eyed scumbag he is, has an iron chin and has faced way better comp than the Mara's Berchelt feasts on, but the home-field advantage is a great one and as long as he's able to stay on his feet and do some decent work I can't see how "Robby" Martinez will win this one.

The Mexican has the "Home" advantage, but Roman "Skeletor" Martinez has the power of Grayskull. ja ja ja
