Awful decision but one you could see coming. Chud only got decision in first fight there because he pretty clearly won all the rounds. This time he only clearly won about 8. Thats not enough in Germany. You have to dominate or you dont win. There's a reason Chud was only a -300 favorite in this fight after EASILY winning the first fight - its because it was in Germany again. In any other venue Chud would've been about a -700 favorite.

Boxnation broadcast
Has anyone here viewed the fight on boxnation? I watched it on tape and was
Appalled that the anouncer was giving round after round to Sturm. He kept on
saying "another good round for sturm". Infuriated, I just shut the volume, but I was not surprised that the Homeboy won in Germany. Typical european bull****.
I was very surprised at the play by play guy though.

Terrible decision. Sturm and Sat 1 paid off the judges so he can have a big last fight against Abraham (which would sadly still be huge in germany) and can demand more money.
There is no way Sturm won more than 4 rounds in that fight. He got outlanded every round and Sturm also never hit Chudinov hard.

unbelievable decision, watching on boxnation, who was that commentator!?!? for every 5 or 6 composed (albeit relaxed very one paced) punch combo from chud was met back with no more than 1 or 2 at a time but the crowd went wild of course. I couldn't believe chuds work rate to still lose this fight, he was getting through with a lot of around the guard hooks but Sturm is resilient and chudinov needs more power at this weight to make the accurate punching pay off.
chudinov did give away a couple but jeez, over 1000 punches thrown in this fight, that'd be hard to do just on the damn heavy bag across 12, you're not being dominated if you can throw that much
