Even though I thought Chudinov deserved the decision, I was thoroughly unimpressed with him, I've never seen a champion in the pros fight more like an amateur than this guy, pitty pat punches, no leverage on his shots at all, very poor body attack, poor ring generalship, fades a little bit late in fights, the guy clearly still didn't make the transition from the amateurs to the pros, I think out of all the champions at that weight class he was the weakest and now it's Sturm, I don't believe that Sturm will retire, I think he's gonna fight Arthur Abraham in a unification bout in Germany if Abraham wins his next fight, that'd be a big fight in Germany between the 2 weakest champs at 168, then the winner can fight one of the 2 real champs and then a unification bout for all the belts would be tremendous.

This would be sad news if Sturm actually had fans.

0ne of the longest reigning examples of what happens when every division has four to seven "world champions." Sturm wasn't a bad fighter, but he was never the best in any division, never made any effort to fight the very best, and was able to get rich being declared a "champion" and defending at home against the second tier (and in some cases third tier) opposition. One poster yesterday called it a HOF career

before this fight, to my knowledge Sturm has never won a belt at Super Middleweight (168) so didn't he win it for the first time

**side note, this is why the WBA organization is silly with their Super distinction. The article said WBA Super middleweight title. So since Golovkin and Jacobs are the WBA Middleweight title holder(s) that would mean Sturm won at 168, not 160
